How Are Lab Grown Diamonds Made?

Step 1
Inject purified carbon feedstock into a specially crafted diamond seed and form it into a unique graphite disc.
Step 2
Place the diamond seed into the equipment and use the High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) synthesis method. The pressure inside the device is about 100,000 times that of the Earth’s crust, with temperatures around 1500°C, allowing the diamond seed to grow.
Step 3
The time it takes for a diamond to grow depends on the desired size, typically ranging from a few weeks to several months.
Step 4
After growth is complete, the diamond seed is removed and processed through a series of cutting, polishing, and other techniques to create wearable diamond jewellery.
